Enjoy an evening of Parlour Songs in this intimate concert performed by a selection of local vocalists.
Friends and Pupils of Coral Gould MBE, recently recognised in the New Year’s Honours list for her service to music, will come together to perform a variety of solo and ensemble pieces from this fantastic era.
With their heyday in the Victorian era, Parlour Songs were sold as sheet music for singers and pianists to perform at home. In this recreation of that environment, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere, the refreshments and the variety of lyrics and melodies.
