PAUL MATHEWS QUARTET FEAT. FRANK NICOLS AT ‘JAZZ-ON-TAP’ JAZZ CLUB

This is a relatively local but excellent ‘straight-ahead’ jazz quartet featuring the excellent guitar playing of Stoke based guitarist Paul Mathews and the exquisite tenor sax work of Birmingham based Frank Nichols and superb jazz drummer Barry Watts. Paul has played professionally with a plethora of musicians including the ‘king and queen’ of jazz Johnny Dankworth and Cleo Lane. Frank is a seasoned pro with many credits to his name but in particular he has worked and recorded with Warren Vache, the great Ronnie Scott and Humph Lyttleton.
