Joking Apart spans four garden parties from bonfire night, in 1966, to an 18th birthday celebration in 1978.

Of all his seventy-six plays, Sir Alan Ayckbourn has frequently said ‘Joking Apart’ is his personal favourite.

An hilarious and touching look at domestic bliss – or lack of – as only Ayckbourn can, this painfully funny play explores the unrelenting themes of ageing, jealousy and unrequited love.

Show begins at 7.30pm, arena open from 6.30pm for picnics.

Tickets: Adult £12, Concession £10, Child £8

This show takes place outdoors, so bring suitable clothing, chairs and rugs.

Picnics welcome.

No dogs accepted in The Glade, except guide dogs.
