As winter nights draw in and we huddle beside the fire, now is the time to come to the mysterious and ghostly Tutbury Castle for an evening of fear and fun.
In 1888 in the swirling fogs of London, a prostitute was most horribly murdered by a serial killer who would become known as “Jack the Ripper”.
The alleyways and back streets of Victorian London were dangerous places and life was cheap but still these crimes were so terrible, the whole of London shuddered as one victim after another was found dead and mutilated.
Jack the Ripper played games with Scotland Yard and although even Queen Victoria herself became involved, the murderer was never found.
Come for a delicious hot supper and a journey in time to 1888 with the Inspector of the Yard and once having heard the evidence, see if you can work out who the most likely suspect was the Ripper himself.
Guests may arrive from 7pm onwards and the meal will be served in the Great Hall at 7:30pm.
