Tutbury castle in Staffordshire, believed to be one of the most haunted properties in the British Isles, have just announced an extraordinary two day event planned for Halloween 2012.
The Castle have joined ranks with ‘Revolution X’; a fantastic design and events company, to provide an event of thrills for young and old alike. It will be a light and amusing evening of fun with a spooky theme – perfect for the little ones.
Said Lesley Smith, Curator – “When I was working in New York a few years ago, I got a sense of what a fantastic celebration Halloween can be without necessarily being just ‘Trick or Treat’. For some time, I have been considering how we could achieve the kind of theatrical experiences that are on offer on the continent and in the States, and this year I am delighted to announce that we achieved all I hoped for and more.“
Many of the arrangements are under wraps, but the type of thing you could hope to see include projections and sound effects that are simply stunning, including smoking cauldrons and witches, a graveyard, ghosts and ghouls and a wide array of spooks and haunting provided by a talented team.
There will be stalls selling all sorts of spooky treats including ghoulish coloured candy floss. A silent disco will also form part of the fun.
