Get ASDA Active @ Shobnall Leisure Complex
ASDA Active is a national campaign with over 400 ASDA Active Sports Days taking place across the country this summer.
On Sunday 20th July Shobnall Leisure Complex will host the Burton upon Trent ASDA Active Sports Day.
Sports Leaders from East Staffordshire will deliver a number of FREE taster activities which everyone can get involved in no matter what your age or ability. All sessions will be suitable for the whole family to get involved and have a go.
Between 10:30am – 12:30pm there is the opportunity to take part in Golf, Bowls, Dodgeball, Netball, Outdoor Athletics and use the Inclusive bikes.
Between 1:30pm – 3:30pm there is the opportunity to take part in a Short Health Walk, Rounders, Dance, Football, Tennis and use the Inclusive bikes.
There is no need to book, just turn up on the day join in and have some fun. To make the most of the day why not bring along a picnic to eat between 12:30pm – 1:30pm. ASDA will also be providing free Healthy Snacks for all participants.
Councillor Robert Hardwick, Deputy Leader for Cultural Services, said:
“The Council is keen to continue to promote health and well being through its commitment to the Healthy Borough programme. Working with local partners is just one of the ways we are doing this.
“ASDA Active will be a fun day for the whole family, so here is chance to try something new and get involved. This FREE Sports Day is an opportunity to try out a range of activities in a fun friendly atmosphere under the guidance of our qualified Sports Leaders”.
ASDA Staff from Burton upon Trent Store will be in attendance on the day handing out free goodies and healthy snacks as part of their community programme.
