I have just visited the Dial for a meal with a group of friends and was most impressed!

There were 25 of us in total but whereas many restaurants would struggle to cope with serving that number at one time, I'm pleased to say that our meals all arrived within a two minute time period and were all hot.

The food itself was excellent too! Very well presented and good portion sizes (I don't like to go home hungry!)

My starter was one of the specials for the day, Spinach and Goats Cheese Tart. Again very well presented and very tasty. The pastry was just right ..... nice and firm and not at all soggy.

My main course (again one the the day's specials) was Ribeye Steak with Horseradish Sauce and Shallot Butter. This was superb, the steak was cooked perfectly to my requirements and the horseradish just gave it that nice extra little 'twang'.

One slight negative comment from the group was that all sauces came already poured over meals whereas we would have liked them separately to pour as little or as much as we wanted. No biggie ..... but something The Dial could maybe consider.

One big thumbs up was that a member of the group has a dairy allergy and struggles to eat in many restaurants. This caused no problem at The Dial however as they already offer a dairy-free menu.

Prices: Starters range from £3.95 to £4.95 and main courses ranged from £10.50 to £15.95

One thing I always like to see in a restaurant (as you'll notice in my other InBurton Restaurant Reviews) is good service ....... staff who know what they're talking about and give a friendly and efficient service .... with a smile. The staff at The Dial certainly ticked all of those boxes.

Just re-reading this review it sounds a little like an advert for The Dial but that's just because it was an excellent meal and an enjoyable evening.
