Lets move slightly away from Burton Town Centre now and take a look at a few hotels that are located on the outskirts of the town.
Express by Holiday Inn
This hotel in Burton on Trent is around two miles from the town centre and can be found on Wellington Road.
Express by Holiday Inn is only seconds away from one of Burton's main A38 junctions and so is very easy to get to without getting stuck in any town centre traffic.
Because it is further out of town there is less of a choice of pubs and restaurants within walking distance but the Bill Brewer pub is virtually next door and serves a good range of pub meals along with the usual range of beers, lagers etc that you would expect a pub to offer. There is also a MacDonalds restaurant just over the road.
There is a large Morrisons Supermarket and petrol station just one minute away from this hotel in Burton on Trent as well as Curry's Electrical and a couple of carpet warehouses.
Within an easy couple of minutes drive is the excellent Old Vicarage Restaurant and the centre of Burton is only a 5 minute drive away.
The Riverside Hotel
The next hotel in Burton on Trent we'll take a look at is The Riverside Hotel. This can be found in Branston which is around 3 miles from Burton Town Centre. Due to it's location (which you won't be surprised to hear is near a river - the River Trent) there is very little which is in an easy walk of the hotel but it does have it's own restaurant which is excellent.
The Old Vicarage Restaurant is a five minute walk away and Burton Town Centre with its numerous pubs, bars and restaurants is around a 5 minute drive away.
This hotel in Burton on Trent is also within very easy reach of a main junction of the A38.
The Ramada Newton Park Hotel
The Ramada Newton Park Hotel in Burton on Trent can be found in the village of Newton Solney and is around five miles from Burton Town Centre. The Newton Park has its own restaurant and bar and there are also a number of pubs with restaurants in the village - These include the Brickmakers and the Unicorn.
One of Burton's favourite summer pubs, called The Sump, which has superb views over the River Trent is around a three minute drive away and the centre of Burton is around six minutes away.
