Tutbury Castle, well known for its ghostly events, is delighted to be able to offer a night under the stars of fear and fun.

On June 8th you will have the opportunity to camp at Tutbury Castle and spend the night enjoying spooky tours. Whilst the evening is set up to be fun, there will be some serious ghost hunting too!

You will have the opportunity to meet some of our ‘ghosts’, scream your way out of the Kings Bedroom, try out divining skills and still fit in a snack from our hot grill and not to mention a pint! (Though we should add that alcohol and ghost hunting is not a good mix, therefore alcohol service will be limited but soft drinks, teas and coffee will be available to purchase all evening).

The famous King’s bedroom, which has appeared in a number of high profile paranormal investigation programmes, will be open to the public and there will also be tours around the castles grisly torture and execution display.

A tour would not be a tour with out the chance to meet Castle Curator Lesley Smith, in her most famous disguise as the white faced Mary Queen of Scots, candle lit in the Great Hall.

Just to have the opportunity to camp within the grounds of a real 11th century Castle in the heart of England is a great treat, just imagine how much fun it will be ghost hunting too!

Gates open at 5:00pm

Ghost hunting from 8:00pm – 1:00am

Guests must leave by 10:00am the following morning.

Breakfast will be available from 8am in the morning. Bacon or egg sandwich plus a cup of tea, coffee or fruit juice for £3.50.

CAR PARKING – £1.00

We regret this event is not suitable for anyone under 18 year olds.
