Rolleston’s Transport Festival, initially a one off is now in its 5th
year and has grown to become a firm favourite with car owners,
enthusiasts and visitors alike and is a family friendly day out in a
beautiful setting. The event will again be raising much needed funds
for charity and helping to support the local community.

This year sees the introduction of a new eco theme with support from
local businesses bringing electric/hybrid vehicles for display, in
addition to an extensive and varied range of classic and vintage cars,
motorcycles, lorries, tractors, buses and bicycles from the early
1920s onwards. There will also be static model displays and
exhibitions in Rolleston Club and the marquees.

Children as always are well catered for with a children’s
entertainer, bouncy castle, Punch and Judy, rides and much more!

The show will once again be held in conjunction with the village wide
Grand Garage Sale Tour, where villagers open their garages to sell no
longer needed items – pick up a bargain! Always immensely popular,
transport to the sales is again by classic bus ride starting from
outside the Spread Eagle pub. The bus rides are included as part of
entry to the event, although we hope that people will be happy to make
a small donation towards the provision of this service.

We are also raising money with our raffle which has been generously
supported by many local businesses. Some fabulous prizes are on offer
including a local sight-seeing flight, go-karting, football stadium
tour, food hampers, local bus travel, family photo shoot and food and
drink vouchers to name a few!

Refreshments are available all day with festival tea and cake in the
Old Grammar School and food in Rolleston Club. The raffle draw will
take place at 4.15pm. Proceedings will be brought to a close by a
procession of the vehicles through the village at 4.30pm.

Free parking is available on Elizabeth Avenue playing fields. There is
wheelchair access to main event.

Last year a fabulous total of over £4000 went to local charities.
