“This ancient custom is almost unique to the Peak District and
Newborough has 3 wells which have been dressed for several years now.
This year, on Monday 5th May 2014 (bank holiday Monday) the village
will host a variety things to do/events during the day starting with
the Church Service at All Saints, followed by the procession of the
Blessing of the wells. We will have various stalls on Needwood School
playing fields, the Red Lion car park and the Old Bakers Coffee Shop
and Tea Garden as well as entertainment in the village square. We are
located on the junctions of Duffield Lane, Yoxall Road, and Hollybush
Road in the village centre, DE13 8SH, look for the church spire and
you can’t miss us.”
