Legendary Comedian Welcomed to The Brewhouse!

Brewhouse Arts Centre is all set for another evening of fun and laughter as the Union Street venue welcomes comedy legend Rob Newman on Thursday 27th November, as part of his New Theory of Evolution UK tour.

Following the successful appearance of comedian Jo Caulfield earlier in the autumn season, it is hoped the Brewhouse will be a regular stop off for more touring comedy shows in the future.

In his latest show Rob re-examines the theory of evolution. The show is a tour de force that whirls the audience from altruistic vampire bats, laidback rats and baboon foster-dads, to WH Auden’s last poem, a Russian anarchist prince, the polar jet stream and Richard Dawkins’ postman wrestling naked.

Rob explains how a series of personal calamities and jammy flukes lead him to hit upon a whole new theory of evolution, which he calls the Survival of the ‘You see that chink of gleaming light in the dark, overcast sky, that’s you that is.’ The Daily Telegraph

Tickets are now available by calling Box Office on 01283 508100 or by booking online at www.brewhouse.co.uk priced at just £12.00
