11am – 5pm
(Last admission at 4pm)

The knights, squires and ladies of the 14th Century Alliance will be bringing the tournament of the 14th Century to life. This fantastic living history display will provide fun for all the family, as they re-create key elements of the Grand Tournaments that were so popular in Medieval England. Display shows, archery and medieval dancing as well as the daily life, costumes, weapons and traditions of the time will be shown.

There will be demonstrations on how the armour is worn and the reasons for the evolution of different styles of armour. Combat techniques will also be shown using a variety of weapons which are both educational and entertaining for old and young alike – all ending with an exciting grand mêlée!

There will also be an opportunity to have a go at archery or hold a bird of prey at an additional charge.

The Great Hall will be open with guided tours as well as our pretty tea room serving a range of hot and cold food – all reasonably priced.
