My Kingdom for a Horse at Tutbury Village Hall

Saturday 15th March

kingdomhorseIf you’ve been fascinated by THAT skeleton dug up in a Leicester car park, you won’t want to miss this classic theatre show.  Richard Derrington plays perhaps one of the most famous Richards in English history – King Richard III.
Mysterious to the last, the monarch’s dark secrets are about to be revealed – by a bricklayer from Kent called Dickon Broome, who thinks he has claim to the throne.

Richard plays Richard, and every other character too, in a theatrical tour de force which will transport you back to the Middle Ages.   He gives a new slant to the story of King Richard III with plenty of intrigue and unexpected laughter.   If you thought you knew our English history, this show will make you think again, whilst having an enjoyable time.
Richard Derrington’s career has taken him from village halls and The Archers, to huge theatres across the world with The RSC, National Theatre and Sir Alan Ayckbourn.

The show is at Tutbury Village Hall at 7.30 pm.   The show is brought to us by Live & Local with ESBC, Staffordshire County Council and the Arts Council.

Tickets £8 / £7 Senior Citizens / £6 Student
