English: Burton Albion FC, Pirelli Stadium, Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire. In July 2005, Burton Albion FC moved, literally across the road, from their old Eton Park ground and into the new Pirelli Stadium on Princess Way. The stadium cost around £7 million to build and has a capacity of approximately 6,000. It straddles northing SK25. Burton Albion are in the Nationwide Conference League. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

26th June 2013 11:45am – 16:00pm

Tickets are FREE for U16s when applied through education institutes.

This fixture is the last testing home international as Hope Powell
prepares her side for Euro 2013. They recently secured a 1-0 victory
over Olympic bronze medalists Canada in Rotherham on 7 April and will
now face a stern test against the Japanese in their final warm-up
match before they fly to Sweden. These two games form part of FA150
celebrations, helping to mark a special year for The Football
Association – the governing body’s 150th anniversary and 20 years
since they took over the running of the women’s game.

It has been decided the Japan game will kick-off at 1.45pm, a time
negotiated to both secure the fixture against the World Champions and
to give as many students as possible the chance to see some of the
best female players in action. To support this, all students are being
offered FREE tickets to the game in recognition of the key part
schools football plays in the whole game.

Prior to seeing the two teams in action, fans are invited to take part
in a FREE, interactive fanzone, brought to you by Continental Tyres.
Games include batak boards, a speed cage, a target shoot inflatable
plus a new trailer that houses the FA WSL and Cyprus Cup trophies and
digital stations. To add to the festival atmosphere, there will be
hair braiding and face painting, all of which will take place outside
the stadium from 11.45am.
