Burton’s newest child friendly café will open its doors at Burton’s Market Hall on Saturday 23rd August. Come down and join in the opening day celebrations! Along with the new soft play area there will be free face painting and a bouncy castle from 10.00am – 3.00pm, along with ‘Mr Twister’ the magic balloon man.
Bambeano’s Play Café is the brain child of Sarah Moss. When Sarah started to look at this venture she had two under 5’s and had always thought that Burton was missing a place that catered for both children and parents. That’s when Sarah decided that she was going to make a difference and open up Bambeano’s.
It has taken a tough 18 months but the day has finally arrived for Bambeanos to open its doors to the public. Sarah said: “The cafe is 100% child friendly and is located upstairs in Burton’s Market Hall. We’re ideally located just outside the shopping centre and will be a great place to come to let the little ones burn off some energy whilst parents can relax. The play area is suitable for 0-5 year olds and the seating area overlooks it.
With facilities such as baby change, bottle warming, and being breast-feeding friendly, our aim is to make customers visits as easy and enjoyable as possible.
We will be open Monday to Saturday from 9:00am until 3:00pm and will serve fresh, home-made light meals and snacks, drinks and treats suitable for all ages.
Parent and child groups are more than welcome to use us as a venue, and we can be hired for private use too”
Councillor Robert Hardwick, Deputy Leader for Cultural Services, said:
“We are thrilled that Bambeano’s is finally opening its doors. It is another venue that will complement the Market Hall and offer the people of Burton something that has been missing from the town centre for a long time.
“We wish Sarah all the best with her new venture and encourage the young families of East Staffordshire to come to the Burton Market Hall and support this new business”.
