Pension Reforms: Auto-enrolment

From October 2012 new legislation began affecting the largest
employers first and will gradually encompass all employers by February
2018.  The new duties force all employers to have a pension scheme
suitable for automatic enrolment and automatically enrol certain
workers into that pension scheme.  Other workers will have certain
rights to opt in or join a pension scheme.  The employer will be
required to make a contribution for those eligible, manage deductions
and contribution payments, communicate with employees and keep proper
records.

To help employers meet the legal standards the Government has set up a
corporation to implement a national pension scheme – the National
Employment Savings Trust, or NEST for short.

About Your Trainer
The workshop will be led by Jackie Fancourt, Dip PFS.  Jackie has
presented seminars since 2010 to hundreds of employers in the
Midlands.  These seminars are to help employers learn more about their
duties and have been organised by Jay Financial and in association
with NEST Corporation, Business Link and the Chartered Institute of
Management Accountants.  Jackie was selected as a  panelist for a live
Q&A for The Guardian discussing auto enrolment and wider pension
issues.

Jackie has in-depth knowledge of auto enrolment legislation and its
impact on employers and employees.  This combined with her ability to
explain complex subjects in a clear way means her workshops are both
practical and informative.

“This is a difficult subject explained as simply as possible” Rosemary
Watterson, Wearwell UK Ltd

“Thanks for your help, I have never heard pensions explained so simply
and clearly” David Finch, David Finch Photography
