Finally in this brief look at the location of Burton Hotels we'll take a look
at hotels which are still within easy reach of the town centre but are based outside of the
town itself.
The Brookhouse Hotel
This Burton Hotel can be found in the quiet village of Rolleston which is
around four miles from Burton Town Centre.
The Brookhouse Hotel has it's own restaurant which is abslutely superb and
highly recommended. Also in Rolleston on Dove are two pubs that are not only great for a drink
but also have very good and varied food menus. The Spread Eagle is one of these and is only a
three minute walk from The Brookhouse. The other, The Jinnie Inn is about a four or five
minute walk. Both of these also have excellent beer gardens for the summer
months.
The Spread Eagle
The Spread Eagle is not strictly a Burton Hotel but I am including it here because of their
reputation as a good B&B and also to give a slightly different option for anyone preferring
to stay in a village pub rather than a traditional hotel.
The Spread Eagle, like The Brookhouse Hotel, is in Rolleston on Dove and so is about four
miles from the centre of Burton.
The Spread can be found at the very centre of the village, next to Rolleston Churc and there
are the two other options already mentioned for food and drink, namely The Brookhouse and The
Jinnie Inn which are both within easy walking distance.
The Stanhope Arms Hotel
This Burton Hotel is around five miles from the centre of the town and can be found on the
A511 at Bretby.
The Stanhope Arms Hotel has it's own restaurant and bar and there are a number of other
options for food and drink nearby. The Keepers Cottage Restaurant is a five minute walk away as
is The Chesterfield which offers a whole host of 'two for one' meals.
The Bretby Conference Centre which is only a two minute walk away is an ideal venue for
conferences for between ten and 295 people due to its numerous differently sized lecture
rooms and an 860 square metre exhibition hall.
